See You in The Sky - Wing's participative project with SK residents and visitors, 2008
Kite flying is a favourite sport among Seri Kembangan residents; kites dotting the evening sky is spotted daily in the village. It is entertaining both for the care-freeness of mind it brings as well as the playful competitiveness of 'cutting' an opponent's kite and retrieving it as a "prize".

Wing's See You In The Sky builds from the SK residents' habits of kite-flying - it is a happening, a kind of social apparatus - as well as an installation. It is a shared communal experience in a common space - the SKY.

Nap by Minstrel Kuik, digital print, 2007.
Minstrel returns home to Pantai Remis for annual family rituals and festivals, and has been quietly photographing her family during their times together.

Detail from Untitled by Hoo Weang Ieang, oil on canvas, 2004
Hoo implodes her canvases with inscriptions of symbols that seek to empower a sense of self. Painting becomes an act of searching for as well as exercising personal courage and curiosity.

Entry Points is supported by The Annexe Central Market's Grants for Grabs.
